FAST Certifications

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the United States Customs and Border Protection (U.S. CBP) have joined hands to enhance border and trade chain security. They have designed a Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Program to simplify cross-border commercial trade. This voluntary partnership program promotes the adoption of customs best practices to prevent terrorism, smuggling, and other forms of organized crime. Upon enrolling for the FAST Certification, you become a member of CBSA’s Trusted Trader Program. Your shipment gets access to the dedicated FAST lanes and booths at the border. Registration in C-TPAT is a pre-requisite to enrolling for the FAST program and both of them help you with quicker cross border cargo customs clearance. FAST approved shipments go through priority customs clearance using bar code technology to process the minimal documents. The expedited processing of your shipment at the border enhances the performance of your supply chain.
